Greenyard Fresh UK increased its stake in Bardsley England, a UK based and fifth generation premium apple and pear producer. Bardsley England is, similar to Greenyard, very much focused on increasing agricultural yield and improving the overall quality and taste of the produce whilst ensuring sustainable returns to the grower.

Since the Joint Venture was formed in 2016, the relationship between both companies has strengthened and the businesses developed to a point where an increase of the investment is the next logical step.
It gives Bardsley England the ability to procure and pack a significantly larger volume of apples and pears for the UK retail market. Meanwhile, it delivers Greenyard a unique competitive advantage in case of a hard Brexit with the businesses well placed to deliver increased volumes of home-grown apples and pears.
